Obscura Choker
This amulet features real vertebrae and atlas bones of a Red Fox, entombed within layers of copper & nickel through a process of electroforming. This statement choker has been embellished with handmade chainmaille and adorned with quartz and labradorite crystals.
Foxes are cunning creatures who hold symbolic significance in many cultures. According to Celtic folklore, the Fox is a messenger to the Otherworld, a clever shapeshifter, a guide between realms. Folklore also tells of wise women who were said to transform themselves into foxes, connecting foxes to witchcraft and the wild feminine.
All electroformed surfaces are coated with a clear sealant to prevent tarnishing and oxidisation. All bones have been collected ethically.
